Dixon In The Points For Smiths At Snetterton

With the success of the TT in the Isle of Man in the wind, Smith’s Racing focused their efforts on the Motorsports Supersport Championship action this weekend where they competed at Snetterton in Norfolk. Although it proved to be a tough couple of days for Jake Dixon aboard his Daytona 675R.
Dixon qualified in 8th place for the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship Sprint race and although he wasn’t able to challenge for the podium positions, it looked positive that he would secure some valuable points when he moved up to fourth at half race distance. However, his fate was sealed on the seventh lap when he crashed out, with further bad luck on Sunday when a mechanical problem dropped him down the race order. He battled back well to claim fifth place in the feature race to maintain fourth overall in the table.
