The Triumph Owners Club (TOMCC) in association with Staffordshire Triumph are running a ‘Run What You Brung’ event at Shakespeare Raceway at Long Marston Airfield on 28/29th September.
The invitation goes out to all Triumph owners regardless of age of bike or model so whatever you ride you’re more than welcome to Run What You Brung! Whether it’s your daily commuter or your Sunday special come along and join the TOMCC and Staffordshire Triumph for a weekend of Triumph fun!
General admission to the raceway is £12 per person per day or £22 for a weekend pass. Run the quarter mile for only £25 per day or £40 for an unlimited run weekend pass. There’s no need to book in advance simply turn up on the day and make sure you fill up before you arrive!
What you need to do:
Step 1: Remember to bring:
Full Leathers or clothing with equivalent protection and abrasion resistance
Extra protection incorportated in knee, elbow and shoulder
Two piece suits must zip together – full zip is preferred
Helmets must have ACU gold sticker or be either ECE22-05 or BS6658 type A approved
Boots must overlap leathers and must extend 200mm up the rider’s leg
Gloves must be made of leather or material with similar abrasion properties
Step 2: Scrutineering
Before you arrive check the following:
Engine is free from oil leaks
Fuel pipes are sound and secure
Battery is properly secured
Cooling system is free from leaks
Ensure throttle returns properly and closes fully
Your machine has an adequate chain guard
Must have oil and water catch cans if required
The seat is properly secured and in good condition
Wheels are secure with ALL wheel nuts fitted
Tyres with appropriate rating are fitted
The machine is free from mud, loose material, oil and grease
Step 3: Arrive on 28th / 29th September
